"Give thanks to the LORD,
for he is good; his love
"Enter His gates with THANKSGIVING
and His courts with praise;
Give thanks to Him and praise His name."
"Give THANKS in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you
in Christ Jesus."
-1 Thess. 5:18
"I will give thanks to You,
O Lord my God, with all my HEART
and will glorify your name forever."

Oh, the joy of the warmth of this season.... that which you feel inside and that which surrounds you in the glow of lights in your home and beaming out from the loved ones around you. The past week of family time, relaxing, having such a wonderful meal, and focusing on the moments and precious things to be grateful for was such a blessed time... I pray that yours was, as well, friends! What was your favorite part of your day or week? Favorite part of your meal? It was a pretty hard call for me, but I can definitely say that I have rediscovered my slight addiction to deviled eggs. So good. Oh, and other than what is shown above, we also had (not pictured) southern cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, and yeast rolls.
This Thanksgiving, I had some specific things on my heart and noticed certain ways the Lord has definitely been working in my heart. He is cultivating a spirit of gratitude in me in new ways and showing me verses that relate to that. I have felt so much joy in that alone, and I am so thankful for that, as well. My other favorite parts of the special week we spent as a family were preparing our meal and being in the kitchen together, being away from the world for awhile as we enjoyed just being home most of the time, watching the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving day, baking a new pie recipe (Pear and apple! Yum!), going on walks to take in the color of the fall foliage bursting forth, and time for personal study and creating.

while watching the dog show ☺
The Lord surely does not hold back His gracious love and blessings. I am filled with thankfulness as I look back on last week, as well as looking around me. The verses at the top of this post further fill my heart with gratefulness as I reflect on all I have to be so thankful for in my life- from the larger things to the small details God provides. And I am most certainly thankful for you, dear friends! I hope the end of this month is treating your very well as we look forward to December... and boy, it sure did come around quickly!
Love, blessings, and many hugs to you!
